Car Samuil Hydrothermal Medical Center is located in the village of Bansko, just 12 kilometers east of Strumica, at the foot of Belasica Mountain, close to the border with Bulgaria and Greece.
There are 5 natural sources of thermal hot water in the downtown area..The largest, called Parilo, is just 50 meters away. meters away. With a capacity of 42 liters per second, and a temperature of 72°C. Parilo's water originates from deep below the surface, unaffected by atmospheric conditions.

ONE OF THE LARGEST SPAS IN THE BALKANS
History and archaeological landmarks
During the construction of the hotel’s foundations in 1978, people discovered one of the most representative buildings of the Roman period - the Roman thermal bath (Balneum) dating from the 1st to the 4th century.
The spa has 11 rooms with a total area of 623 m², making it one of the largest spas in the Balkans.
Recent excavations have revealed that the interior heating is designed and constructed with a separate system that uses hot water to heat the floor and walls. This discovery highlights the Romans' early recognition of the therapeutic benefits of thermal waters and their innovative approach for their multiple use. However, people from this region continued to be drawn to the thermal springs until the late Middle Ages.
The location’s first name “Turska banja” underscores this fact. Archaeologists are constantly discovering new findings on this site that confirms the Car Samuil Medical Center as the successor to the Roman thermal bath.

MODERNIZED SERVICES
We currently offer services in in two therapeutic pools filled with hot thermal water and props for hydrokinesis exercises, underwater walking track, underwater bikes…
The third and largest swimming pool, a semi-Olympic delight , is currently under construction. Designed with a recreational purpose, it will feature a spa area equipped with several saunas, a salt room, and a steam bath.
The center also offers balneotherapy treatments treatments in a completely renovated balneotherapy area equipped with a total of 8 bathtubs offering a a variety of hydro treatments including underwater massage, hydrogalvanic baths and different types of thermal baths.
Alongside our balneological services, we offer a wide range of physiotherapy services such as several types of electrotherapy, magnetotherapy, scanning laser, manual massage and a spectrum of kinesi exercises performed in our new and well-equipped Kinesis gym.
In the second newly built part of the physiatry we’ve introduced several new treatment rooms designed to offer a warm and pleasant environment, prioritizing patient's privacy. This area also includes a modern fitness center and hydro section with separate spas ensuring maximum relaxation for guests. Expanding our range of indications treated in the center, the therapeutic benefits of our thermal water are now further enhanced with advanced technology employed in therapeutic treatments.
To support the facility's requirements, we built a brand-new diagnostic laboratory along with two new special offices (neurology and orthopedics).
Our extensive offering includes MEDICAL and HOTEL services.

Under new management and undergoing modernization
Realizing the immense potential of this strategic location, the owners made the decision to invest in the complete reconstruction and modernization of the center and the surrounding areaby financing the construction of local roads, creating job opportunities for the local community and partnering with the Archaeological Institute of Strumica for research and restoration of archaeological sites.
The outcome of the extensive reconstruction work over the past two years is a fully renovated and modernized medical area dedicated to physiotherapy, expanded and enriched with a range of therapy services and devices that are used for the first time in Macedonia.
